Lanes of Interstate 24 West near the Kentucky, Tennessee line after a two-vehicle crash.
The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. near the state line at the 0.5 mile marker near Trenton Road.
One lane was reopened around 3 p.m. but traffic was backed up for miles.
Officials with the Clarksville Police Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol asked drivers to avoid the area if possible.
Details of the crash were unknown. It was expected to be cleared by 5 p.m., and was being investigated by THP officials.
