A crash involving multiple vehicles closed Interstate 40 for a short time in Davidson County.
The wreck happened in the westbound lanes at the exit for State Route 1 and US-70 South around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Authorities had not released details on the crash.
The roadway was closed to westbound traffic with drivers being diverted to alternate routes for more than an hour. Just before 11:30 a.m., one lane reopened.
Eastbound traffic experienced rubbernecking delays.
The roadway was cleared by noon.
