Five people were injured in an early-morning crash that caused significant delays on Interstate 40 westbound in Cheatham County.
The incident was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday at mile marker 188 near Beech Hill Road in Kingston Springs.
Details of the wreck were unknown.

A tractor trailer was involved in the crash and a burned-out truck and van were also at the scene.
One of the victims was airlifted to an area hospital with severe burns. That person was listed in critical condition.
Traffic was backed up for at least two miles and was diverted at exit 192. The interstate fully reopened around 7 a.m.
