Interstate 40 West in Wilson County was closed due to a commercial vehicle crash.
The crash was reported just before 9:30 p.m. at Exit 245 for Linwood Road.
Emergency Management officials said a semi and a car were involved, and one person was reportedly trapped in a vehicle.
LifeFlight was called out to the scene. Authorities said at least one victim was taken to the hospital. The victim's condition was unknown.
The semi and car reportedly collided into each other, shutting down the interstate in that area for several hours.
