Multiple injuries were reported in crash involving a semi truck in South Nashville.
The crash involved five vehicles.
It happened just after 9 p.m. Thursday night at Harding Place and Antioch Pike.
Officials said a car was traveling northeast on Antioch Pike when it ran the red light and crashed into a tractor trailer that had the green light.
Following the initial crash, three other cars were were hit - believed to be trying to avoid the initial crash.
The car which ran the red light was believed to be the suspect vehicle in a hit and run accident which occurred a few minutes before the crash.
The two people from the suspect vehicle went to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious, but not life threatening injuries.
Two other people in vehicles that were hit also went to Vanderbilt, but with minor injuries.
Officers are looking into whether alcohol was involved.
