A total of five people were taken to the hospital after a multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate-440 West in Nashville.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday night near the Murphy Road exit.
Several vehicles including a truck, van, and car were involved in the crash. Only one of the five people taken to the hospital was in critical condition.
Officials said the preliminary investigation indicated the van was traveling eastbound when it crossed the median into westbound traffic.
The westbound lanes of the interstate were narrowed to one lane for a few hours.
