HICKMAN CO., Tenn. (WTVF) — Part of Interstate 40 in Hickman County is closed due to a crash that killed two people.
TDOT's traffic map shows the incident happened just before 4 p.m. near mile marker 149.
Officials say it involved a tractor trailer and single passenger vehicle. Early reports indicate traffic was stopped or slowing for backed-up traffic when the passenger vehicle rear-ended the trailer.
Two people in the passenger vehicle died in the crash.
Investigation is ongoing.

Eastbound lanes are closed and traffic is being diverted. Westbound traffic has some delays.
The expected clear time has been pushed back to 10:30 p.m.
