Creating a more accurate U.S. Senate poll

With just more than two weeks until election day, the Senate race between Marsha Blackburn and Phil Bredesen appears closer than ever.

But should polls be trusted, after getting a lot wrong in the 2016 presidential race?

Josh Clinton who conducted the Vanderbilt poll, says their methods take into account things other pollsters miss that can cause problems, because they say other polls don't ask important questions about things like where they live in Tennessee, and their education level -- both things that can impact how they vote.

But Clinton says you shouldn't use any poll result as a reason not to vote on November 6th.

"That's the poll that really matters, that's what really is going to affect the wellbeing of our country and our state," Clinton said.
