Crews recovered the body of a father who drowned on Dale Hollow lake over the weekend.
Recovery efforts continued Monday after witnesses said went under the water and never resurfaced.
A man and his son were swimming in the lake Saturday. The son was pulled from the water by passersby in a boat, but witnesses said they saw the father go under.
Clay County Emergency Management Agency Director Natalie Boone said crews returned to the lake Monday morning. They were searching in an area near the Kentucky state line and Trooper Island.
The man's body was recovered Monday afternoon.
Crews were using sonar and divers in the water. They had also coordinated with surrounding counties including Overton and Cumberland Counties as well as Barren County.
