Crews find body of kayaker two years after going missing

CLAY COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — The body of a missing kayaker was found in Dale Hollow Lake two years after going missing in Clay County.

According to Clay County Emergency Management Director Natalie Boone, crews found the body Tuesday during training operations in 136 feet of water near Cedar Hill Marina.

The body matched the description of a kayaker who went missing in April of 2017.

The Investigation is ongoing and the body has been sent to the medical examiners office for autopsy
