Firefighters were able to rescue a dog from a burning home in Mt. Juliet.
Officials with the Mt. Juliet police and fire departments were called to the scene along Brighton Circle around midmorning Tuesday.
Police tweeted video that showed heavy smoke billowing from the home. However, no flames were immediately visible.

Everyone inside made it out safely. Crews were also able to rescue a dog from the home.
The cause of the fire was not known.
