Officials in Rutherford County said they’ve resolved the issue of a propane tank leak in Christiana.
The leak happened just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Old Christiana Highway. Authorities with Rutherford County Fire & Rescue said multiple agencies responded to that area.
According to reports, a bush hog hit the 500-gallon underground tank, causing the leak. The incident was in a residential area, and everyone nearby was evacuated while it was ongoing.
Authorities said they had four tanker trucks and four engines, with crews from the Rutherford County EMA, Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, and Bedford County.
The leak was not considered out of control. A drop tank was used for water supply. No injuries were reported from the incident.
