MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVF) — Crews are searching for a missing female in Marshall County, Kentucky, whom officials say was swept away in the Tennessee River.
The Marshall County Rescue Squad says a female in her mid-thirties was walking in flooded waters to meet someone on a vessel. She was then swept away into the river near Calvert City, very early Saturday.
Multiple agencies are doing shoreline searches, sonar searches, and some dragging operations.
They stopped the search when it became dark Saturday, in order to keep teams safe from the flood conditions.
The search will continue Sunday morning.
