Culture, music, art, and community were all celebrated at the African Street Festival in Nashville.
The 3-day festival features performances geared toward young people, a celebrity softball game, African dance and drumming and more.
"It's important because it's a family event. brings back people from year to year, generation to generation," said Sandra Brown.
The event runs through Sunday at Hadley Park and admission is free.
