Customer allegedly finds metal shaving in food; Taco Bell recalls meat

Taco Bell has recalled more than 2 million pounds of seasoned beef in 20 states including Tennessee.

On Monday, the meat was removed from the following states: CT, DE, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, TN, VA, VT, WV and Washington, D.C.

A customer reported finding a metal shaving in their food. A company spokesperson said they immediately removed the product from the restaurants.

There are no reports of anyone getting sick or hurt.

The USDA has stated, “There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.”

The product was produced at one plant location on only one of the two lines used to make seasoned beef. This product was sent to distribution centers in the following states: Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Virginia.
