Davidson County Deputy District Attorney General Amy Hunter was suspended after being charged with DUI.
District Attorney Glenn Funk announced her suspension Wednesday. She was suspended for one month without pay.
Hunter was charged in Williamson County for driving while intoxicated.
Funk said, “She immediately reported the violation to me and has already pleaded guilty as charged in Williamson County Court. I am personally disappointed in General Hunter’s actions, but respect that she has taken full responsibility and is accepting the consequences handed down by the Williamson County Courts and this office.”
General Hunter responded to the suspension with the following statement:
“I would like to apologize to my colleagues and the citizens of Davidson County. I let all of them, and my family down. I would especially like to apologize to the citizens of Williamson County for driving while intoxicated and the danger I posed to them and their families. I was wrong. My actions were inexcusable and will not be repeated.”
General Hunter was set to report back to work on Thursday, July 14.”
