NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) granted Affordable Housing Resources (AHR), Inc. $1.4 million to provide emergency rent and mortgage assistance to qualified, Davidson County residents.
Residents who lost their job or income due to the Coronavirus can call AHR at 615-251-0025, ext. 0 to see if they qualify.
The grant was awarded as a part of its CDBG—CV funding and the United Way through the Metro CARES Act.
“We are grateful to MDHA and United Way for providing these funds for our Emergency Rental Assistance Program,” said Eddie Latimer, CEO of AHR. “AHR is honored and humbled to help meet the needs of individuals and families across Davidson County who unexpectedly lost their jobs or income due to COVID-19. It is critical that our workforce stay housed and avoid eviction during this pandemic.”
Emergency rental assistance is available to low-income persons or households in Davidson County who have had a loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible persons will receive up to three months of rental or mortgage assistance for free. The funds will disburse on a first-come, first-serve basis.
