One person was killed and four others were injured in a in a four-vehicle crash on I-65 on Tuesday evening.
The crash occurred close to Exit 27 near Marshall county and involved two passenger vehicles and two tractor trailer trucks.
Two of the vehicles collided and went into a median between bridges, finally coming to rest on Lynnville Road.
Traffic is being rerouted away from the exit and the crash is expected to be cleared in about an hour.
One victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by Lifeflight, another was taken to a hospital in Huntsville, another to a Marshall County hospital and the fourth was transported to the hospital by family.
An investigation is ongoing.
