MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Tennessee Motor Vehicle Commission suspended the dealer licenses Monday for both locations of Nashville Motor Cars. One is in Murfreesboro and the other in Smyrna.
The move came after the car dealership mysteriously closed leaving customers in a lurch.
There have been 24 consumer complaints made against the dealerships. The complaints include selling cars without titles, and leaving liens unpaid on trade-ins.
The Commission suggested that consumers research dealerships beforehand to protect themselves from similar situations.
The owner of the dealerships, Randall Roth, didn't show up for Monday’s meeting.
