Death of man whose body found in Murfreesboro ruled homicide, suspect arrested

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — The death of a man whose body was found in Murfreesboro May 15 has been ruled a homicide. A suspect has been arrested in the case.

Robert Jenkins, 40, is charged with first degree murder in the death of 50-year-old Gino Harris, whose body was found in woods near Robert Rose Drive by another man and his daughter.

Detectives with Murfreesboro Criminal Investigations Division requested assistance from the Moultrie Police Department in Moultrie, Georgia. Officers with the Moultrie Police Department arrested Jenkins Wednesday.

Jenkins is in custody in the Colquitt County jail in Georgia, and is awaiting extradition to Tennessee.
