DeKalb County Roads Impassable Due To Flooding

Several areas in DeKalb County were flooded Tuesday morning as heavy rains moved through Middle Tennessee.

DeKalb County EMS confirmed some areas got as much as 3 to 5 feet of water, prompting several rescues overnight.

The majority of the flooding occurred on East Main Street, where about 10 to 12 homes are located. It’s unclear if all residents had to be rescued from each home.

Emergency crews also rescued at least one person from a vehicle.

No one was hurt. Several roads remain impassable in the area.

Evacuees were taken to Liberty Methodist Church.
