A dementia patient who went missing Monday morning has been found, just several hundred yards behind his home.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said 77-year-old Charles London apparently walked away from his home on Buena Vista Pike. After a brief search he was found conscious and laying under a brush pile.
His exact condition was not known.
He had last been seen by his caregiver Sunday night. Police said it appeared as though London fed his cats Monday morning. He was discovered missing at 1:25 p.m.
Crews were searching for London just north of Briley Parkway along Whites Creek and Buena Vista Pike. They were searching by ground and by air. It was not clear exactly how long he had been in the brush pile, or why exactly he was there.
