Officials with the Bedford County Sheriff's Office used humor to make their point on social media.
Officials posted a picture of pot plant on their Twitter account in search of its owner.
The post read, "this plant was found off of a road here in the county. If you have recently lost your marijuana plant and want to claim ownership, come by the sheriff's office and after some quick paperwork we can get you on your way!""
