Officials with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office have asked for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of scamming an elderly woman out of more than one thousand dollars.
Detectives believed he convinced a 75-year-old woman to write a $1,200 check for roofing repairs, and to leave the "payee" line blank.
He and another, who has been identified, cashed the check at a Murfreesboro bank.
Officials asked anyone with information on the two men pictured to call 615-904-3043.
