New information in the Belle Meade murder case of a health department doctor came out during a court hearing Thursday.
William Thomas-Trudo was charged with murder after investigators said he walked into the Metro Police West Precinct and confessed to killing his wife, Doctor Sandra Thomas-Trudo.
She was the Chief Epidemiologist at the Metro Health Department. Police found her body in the bedroom, and a knife with blood on it was found in a bathroom sink.
Detectives said in court that Sandra was stabbed 14 times. William Thomas-Trudo was held on a $1 million bond.
