NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Real estate developer David Chase, who is accused of assaulting his girlfriend last year, has filed a lawsuit against the Metro Nashville Police Department and Metro Government.
David Chase filed the federal suit against Metro government and the officers involved in his arrest.
He alleges officers violated his civil rights by failing to follow proper police procedures. Chase also claims officers used excessive force and then falsely arrested him.
The 38-year-old real estate developer was arrested last June after allegedly assaulting his then girlfriend.
Police said shortly after being released from jail, he went back home and assaulted the victim a second time.
