DICKSON, Tenn. (WTVF) — Workers at Zander's Woodfired Pizza in Dickson were moved to tears when a community member gave them a special holiday gift.
Lauren Owen raised money through the cash-sharing app, Venmo, and took part in a challenge going around on social media lately.
She and her family used the money to surprise their server with a $1,200 tip. She also gave $1,200 dollars to the rest of the staff, giving them each about $120.
The donations came from her family, friends and even people she didn't know - all of who said they wanted to give the money to people in need.
