Two dogs, originally belonging to the Daniels family in Dickson County, are available for adoption.

The dogs were cared for after they were found abused and neglected. They were named Joey and Clyde in honor and memory of 5-year-old Joe Clyde Daniels whose remains have not been found since his father admitted to killing him.

The dogs have been spayed and neutered, brought up-to-date on their vaccinations, and are heart worm negative. They will also be microchipped.

Officials with the Humane Society of Dickson said the two must be adopted together. The adoption fee has been set at $200, and potential adopters will be interviewed with a home visit.

Joey and Clyde are currently in foster care. Everyone who has cared for them said they want to make sure the dogs go to a loving home in honor of little Joe.
