ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. – Authorities have asked help in identifying a robbery suspect who was seen on surveillance video inside a Montgomery County Dollar General store.

The incident happened late Sunday night at the store located on Highway 12 near the Cheatham County line.

Sheriff’s officials said the suspect appears to be a white male, possibly 17 to 23-years-old, with brown hair. He was wearing a blue bandanna on his face and a white and blue plaid shirt.

An employee told deputies that she was putting away carts when she turned around to see the man pointing a gun in her face. She then emptied her register and told the other employees to do so, as well.

The suspect can be seen on video removing his mask before leaving the store.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we need help identifying this individual,” said Sgt. Steve Heise. “He needs to be brought to justice, so we’re asking for the community’s help.”

Anyone with information was asked to call 911 or contact lead investigator, Sgt. Mike Oliver at 931-648-0611, ext. 13130. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS.
