HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A domestic dispute that was originally reported as a home invasion in Hendersonville ended in an arrest for kidnapping Friday, according to Hendersonville police.

A home invasion incident was initially reported in the Waterview Drive area. A short time later, a Monthaven Apartments resident reported they had been involved in a domestic violence situation at the Waterview location.

Officers learned in their investigation that the reported incident involved a knife, and that a man had kept the victim from contacting anybody for assistance or from leaving the situation.

The original call for a burglary was found to be the result of another person trying to get into the home to provide assistance in the domestic situation.

The man who kept the victim from leaving was not named by police, but his picture was provided. He was arrested for aggravated domestic assault and kidnapping.

Hendersonville police are asking for who may have information on the incident to call them at (615) 264-5303, or Hendersonville Crime Stoppers at (615) 594-4113.
