Members of a Nashville Fire Department brought some Christmas cheer to a family in need.
In Madison on Sunday, firefighters surprised a mother with four kids.
Two of the children have had heart transplants, and the other two have been awaiting a match for a transplant.
The station had all the gifts on the family’s wish list donated and gave them the presents at the fire hall on Sunday.
"As a group, it makes us feel really good to help somebody, and we're in the business of helping people, so this giving season, in the Christmas spirit, why not? What other better way to give that's really in need," captain Benny Gatson said.
This is the second year the station has collected new, donated gifts to give to a family in need.
Last year, the station helped a family in the Neelys Bend community after a fire.
Gatson said he hopes to make this event a tradition.
Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Soles 4 Souls donated all the gifts.
