A man was arrested after nearly striking a Cheatham County deputy's vehicle, prompting a brief pursuit on Interstate 40.
The incident happened early Thursday morning at mile marker 194.
A deputy was on traffic control when a car traveled on the wrong side of the traffic cones and nearly struck the back of the car.
The deputy tried to pull the car over but the driver allegedly didn’t stop until the McCrory Lane exit ramp.
Police arrested the driver for evading arrest. Apparently, he almost hit a Cheatham Co. Deputy doing traffic control for construction and then didn’t stop when they tried to pull him over. They let the other guy go...until he walked back up and officers saw he had weed. pic.twitter.com/5VV7KUOwlH
