CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A 21-year-old man has been charged after police said he hit a pedestrian and dragged the man for nearly four blocks in Chattanooga.

Peter Macrellis was charged Thursday with driving under the influence, vehicular assault and several other counts.

Police said Macrellis hit 22-year-old Levi Youster on April 17, and then dragged Youster behind his car for about four blocks.

Youster sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Macrellis was also charged with aggravated reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, financial responsibility and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

He was booked into the Hamilton County jail. His bond has not yet been set.
