A driver was killed after crashing into a telephone pole in North Nashville.
The incident happened overnight Friday at Ewing Drive and Rich Acres Drive.
Witnesses told Metro Nashville Police officials that the driver, 29-year-old Marcquez Johnson, swerved right before overcorrecting and hitting the pole.
Johnson was taken to an area hospital but did not survive.
Police said toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
