NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The driver killed in an early morning crash on Nolensville Pike in south Nashville has been identified.

Officials with Metro police said 23-year-old Jadarrius Cook was killed Monday morning in a single-car crash.

The incident happened on Nolensville Pike near April Drive.

According to police, Cook was driving north when he traveled off the road and struck a concrete drain culvert.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.

Nolensville Pike was shut down while officials remained on the scene, but has since reopened.
