NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The driver killed in an early morning crash on Nolensville Pike in south Nashville has been identified.
Officials with Metro police said 23-year-old Jadarrius Cook was killed Monday morning in a single-car crash.
The incident happened on Nolensville Pike near April Drive.
According to police, Cook was driving north when he traveled off the road and struck a concrete drain culvert.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.
Nolensville Pike was shut down while officials remained on the scene, but has since reopened.
Toxicology testing will be conducted to see if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. No additional details were known.
