A man drove off the interstate and landed on top of a train.

The vehicle went off Interstate 440 west in South Nashville at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, just north of Berry Hill.

Police said the driver was on the ramp to Interstate 65 North when he lost control, went off the road, and hit a train 50 feet below near the Berry Road and Fessey Park Road intersection.

The train was parked, and no one was inside at the time of the collision.

One person was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver told police his nephew was in the car with him. Police used thermal imaging cameras to search banks near the train but no one else was found. Further details on a possible second victim had not been released.
