An Antioch man could face charges after colliding his vehicle into two Metro patrol vehicles.

According to a police report, 23-year-old Alfonso Norris was swerving on Interstate 24 West in Joelton early Sunday morning while approaching the two patrol vehicles.

The officers were dispatched to a possible vehicle crash earlier that night and were parked on two highway lanes with their lights activated.

The report stated Norris’ vehicle flipped onto its roof after smashing into the back of one patrol vehicle.

The second patrol car was hit due to the initial crash.

Norris and Metro police officer Armonty Houston were extracted from their vehicles and taken to Skyline Hospital. Houston has since been released from the hospital.

The second officer was not hurt.

Police found drug paraphernalia in Norris' vehicle. They said alcohol and drugs were involved.

Norris was given an alcohol breathalyzer test. Test results and possible charges were pending.
