A driver was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 24 eastbound near Joelton early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened just east of the Joelton exit at about 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators said a semi-truck rear-ended an SUV, sending it into the median. The driver of the SUV was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
All eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours during the investigation.
