Driver sought in deadly hit-and-run that killed pedestrian in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police have asked the public’s help in locating the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Nashville, Monday night.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. in the 6000 block of Charlotte Pike. According to Metro Nashville police, 67-year-old David Haskins was struck and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

Investigators say it’s unclear at this time, if Haskins was trying to cross Charlotte Pike, walking on the shoulder or if he was in the roadway at the time of the collision.

Police say roadway evidence suggests that the vehicle involved may be a white 2005-2010 Scion tC.
