NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A South Nashville dentist office was nearly destroyed Sunday morning after a drunk driver slammed into the clinic going nearly 90 miles per hour.
Dr. Joel Sharow and his son Dr. Kyle Sharow spent most of the day Sunday trying to assess the damage which left a massive hole in their front lobby.
"He [the driver] has destroyed my practice, because he wanted to drink and get behind the wheel," Dr. Sharow said.
The crash happened around 4 a.m., and pictures showed the truck lodged in the front of the office at 2120 Murfreesboro Pike. Before coming to a stop inside the dental clinic, the truck slammed into a sign, a bus stop and two trees.
"It’s amazing that he stepped out of the car on his own and then passed out on the grass," he added.
Fortunately no one was injured.
The driver was taken to the hospital and charged with driving under the influence.
