Eagleville Elementary School teacher, Jessica Holland, was suspended from Rutherford County Schools after being charged with possession of drugs.
Holland was charged with with theft under $500 and possession of a Schedule II narcotic. According to school officials, she took prescription medication from the nurse's office at the school.
She was immediately suspended without pay.
Holland has been an employee with the district since 2014 and did not have any prior disciplinary occurrences with the school district.
The school district could not release further information since it was an ongoing investigation.
