Early voters made a new record in the Tennessee primary.
More than 380,000 people voted early this year – 16% higher than the old record, set back in 2008.
Analysts said more people have been interested in the election this year, particularly on the Republican side with a candidate list that has only recently shortened.
Secretary of State Tre Hargett said that interest was reflected in how many presidential candidates have stopped in Tennessee.
Marco Rubio was here just this past Sunday.
