An East Nashville mural was found vandalized, and the community has voiced its disapproval on social media.
A painting of bears on the side of the bike shop at Five Points had been splashed onto the wall.
The artist, Leah Tumerman, and friends who volunteered worked to repaint the artwork.
Community members stopped and offered to buy the artist lunch and coffee and showed their support for her work.
Tumerman said she plans to incorporate the vandalism into the new mural.
