The Nashville boom has small businesses "booming" as well. NewsChannel 5 first introduced you to natural beauty retailer Lemon Laine a year ago.
Now, reporter Kristen Skovira checked back to see how one woman's business grew so fast, she's already expanding out-of-state.
CEO Laura Lemon believes beauty starts on the inside and what we put on our skin matters.
"I think it really mimics the food movement. I think people are asking questions about what’s going into their bodies internally and I think once you hear that the product that you put on your skin 60-percent of it is absorbed into your bloodstream that you can’t unlearn that information," she said.
Her East Nashville retail store, Lemon Laine has only been open about a year.
"We’ve continued to grow month-over-month," she said.
It's a unique blend of beauty and wellness that attracts the curious and health-conscious customer.
You'll find probiotics, CBD oils, even a refrigerator.
"If you would’ve told me 10-years ago my top selling product at a beauty store was probiotic yogurt I would’ve looked at you like you were crazy," she said.
Lemon mixes-up products in-house.
"We formulate a custom blended organic facial oil on the spot for you to take home," Lemon said.
The store has such a following they're already expanding to Houston, Texas.
