Kids took on the challenge of a triathlon in the first annual Music City Kids Triathalon, sponsored by Children's Hospital at TriStar Centennial Medical Center.
Children from ages 6 to 18 signed up to take part in the event, which had them swimming at Centennial Sportsplex, leaving there and moving to their bicycles, to ride from between 2.4 to 6 miles depending on the age group then running from 0.5 miles to 1 mile in Centennial Park.
It was a great way to promote good health and athletics for children. Parents cheered on their little athletes throughout the race.
Medals were given out at the completion of the event.
