A "Show Your Love for Teachers" campaign has gotten underway, and it's a citywide effort to recognize and thank Nashville teachers.
The Metro Council recently passed a resolution declaring the week of February 15 as "Show Your Love for Teachers Week" in Music City.
Mayor Megan Barry has planned to say thank you, and she released a statement saying, "I know their job is one of the hardest there is, and they deserve our support and gratitude. A simple thank you can go a long way, so please take a moment and show your love."
One way to show appreciation has been to sign the Nashville Public Education Foundation's virtual thank you card for teachers. You can do that by clicking here. Also on their site, you can view a list of local businesses offering teacher discounts.
