FAIRVIEW, Tenn. (WTVF) — Eight juveniles were sent to the hospital after the church bus they were traveling on crashed on Saturday.

The bus was traveling west on Interstate 840 near mile marker 7 in Williamson County, TN when the crash occurred.

Due to rain on the road, the driver lost control of the bus and ran off the roadside to the left and into the median, turning over onto its left side.

The bus was carrying 12 passengers including the driver.

Six the juveniles were transported by ground to Vanderbilt Children Hospital. Two other juveniles were transported to Tri Star Horizon.

The church vehicle belonged Dixie Hills Baptist Church in Bolivar, Tennessee but was being borrowed by Parrans Chapel Baptist Church.

Brittany Clark, the wife of the Parrans Chapel Baptist Church's pastor said "Everyone involved in the accident were evaluated and released and walked away with no major injuries. The Lord’s hand of protection was definitely on them during this unavoidable accident!"
