Elderly couple killed in crash with Mount Pleasant police officer

MOUNT PLEASANT, Tenn. (WTVF) — An elderly couple was killed in a collision with a Mount Pleasant police officer.

The wreck happened around 7 p.m. Sunday on North Main Street in Maury County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Officer Michael Gray was traveling north when a car pulled out from a driveway in front of him.

He struck the vehicle on the driver side, killing 77-year-old Robert Frazier and 76-year-old Ruby Frazier.

THP officials said neither were wearing their seatbelt. No charges will be filed in the crash.
