MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The Elvis Presley Forever stamp has now gone on sale at post offices nationwide.

The King of Rock `n' Roll's ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, joined Postmaster General Megan Brennan in a dedication ceremony Wednesday on the front lawn of Graceland, Presley's longtime Memphis, Tennessee, home.

The stamp featured a black-and-white image of the young music icon. It's part of the Postal Service's "Music Icons" series.

Also Wednesday, a CD of 18 Presley hits titled "Elvis Presley Forever" was exclusively released through the Postal Service.

On Thursday, the Presley stamp was set to go on sale in Tupelo, Mississippi, with a dedication ceremony at the Elvis Presley Birthplace in Tupelo.

Presley was born in Tupelo on Jan. 8, 1935, and moved to Memphis with his parents at age 13. He was 42 when he died Aug. 16, 1977, in Memphis.
