LA VERGNE, Tenn. –  An endangered child alert has been canceled for a 16-year-old girl in Rutherford County.

LaVergne police say Leticia Diaz was located safe and sound Monday afternoon. At this time no other details are available.

The endangered child alert was issued after Diaz disappeared from her home on June 15. Police said she had a medical condition and did not have her medicine with her.

Officials believed she was still in the area after pictures surfaced showing Diaz at a local Mexican restaurant with two males.

Police are still investigating.
